Cifi Yst Cyf

Materials include terrazzo, wood grain sound absorbing panels, fabric soft covering and PVC flooring. Safety guides every detail of the interior.

Thermal Spring

Thermal Spring is a hot spring bathing facility on the first basement level of a hotel in Kyoto, Japan. The interior covers 469 square meters, including the entrance and the corridor, and uses natural hot water that rises from the site. Garden stones found on the site were reshaped and reused for stone sculpture and flooring. A clay wall in deep indigo recalls the local dyeing culture, while a granite wall with a natural surface suggests underground water veins.

Black coated mild steel arches with PVC leather seating recall the tall arched windows of old warehouses. Bricks, concrete and metal trusses create a vintage industrial look, while the colours, materials and furniture follow a minimalist style. An open layout links the two businesses without dividing walls.

Toshin PostPandemic

For its first created office since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the challenge Matsuo Gakuin was facing is to find a solution for protecting its office users while keeping the aesthetic values the company has always cherished. A thunder shaped table runs along the office dividing the space into staff and guest areas. Glass panels were sandwiched between the board and its duplicate hanging from the ceiling. The glass panels run alternatively through two parallel lines separated by 20cm space. This disposition forms a protective shield while allowing air and documents circulation.
