Reading Tea is a teahouse interior covering 380 square meters in Chongqing. The design joins traditional Chinese materials with a modern spatial approach. Natural logs are divided into wood pieces 100 millimeters wide and 5 millimeters thick. These flexible pieces are bent into curved forms that keep the character of wood and create a new spatial shape. Wood walls and stainless steel walls of the same tone connect the areas. The floor is finished with epoxy paint in the style of Chinese ink painting, and the pattern runs through the whole space like flowing water. Chiffon hides the technical equipment in the workshop ceiling. The project covers 270 square meters.

Infusing the space with the deep love for animals, designers transformed the hotel into an art exhibition, where customers are able to observe and feel the real situation facing the endangered animals in the present moment.
